Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Blue Lemons (the “platform”) operated by Blue Lemons Ltd (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales. By using the platform you agree to them.
What we are
Blue Lemons is a marketplace that connects clients with experienced professionals (“contributors”) for paid, 1:1 advisory calls. We are not a party to the call itself; we provide the introduction, the booking infrastructure, and the payment rails.
Accounts
You must be 18 or over to create an account. Contributors must additionally have at least twenty years of relevant operating experience and pass our reference checks. You’re responsible for the security of your account; tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
Bookings and payment
When you request a call you agree to pay the contributor’s advertised rate plus any taxes once the time is confirmed. We collect payment by secure payment link, then send you a confirmation email and a calendar invite with a video call link. Consulting projects and fractional engagements are scoped and invoiced separately, on terms agreed in writing before work starts.
We charge contributors a 15% platform fee on each completed booking. Clients pay no booking fee.
Cancellations and refunds
Full refund up to 48 hours before the scheduled call. Inside that window the refund is at the contributor’s discretion. If the call doesn’t happen because the contributor doesn’t show up, you get a full refund automatically. If the call happens but falls short of useful, email us within 48 hours and we’ll refund you in full as a goodwill gesture.
Conduct on calls
Calls are professional advisory conversations. Harassment, abuse, discriminatory language, attempts to recruit a contributor for unpaid follow-up work, or any unlawful conduct will result in the call being ended and your account suspended without refund. Contributors are free to end any call where this happens.
Advice, not regulated services
Our contributors share experience and judgment, not regulated professional services. Nothing said on a Blue Lemons call constitutes legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice as defined by relevant regulators. Use your own judgement and seek a qualified professional where appropriate.
Confidentiality
Contributors sign a confidentiality agreement when they join. The short brief you write before a call is only ever seen by the contributor you’re booking.
Our liability
To the extent permitted by law our liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the fees you’ve paid us in the last 12 months. We don’t exclude liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that can’t lawfully be excluded.
Termination
You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account if these terms are breached, with notice where possible. Closing your account doesn’t cancel pending bookings.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
