Former Commercial Director - now NED and senior advisor to a technology trade association

I have 21 years’ experience of strategic sourcing within the UK government. I was the Cabinet Office (Efficiency and Reform Group) Head of ICT Strategy Delivery, leading the cross sector commercial workstream for the G-Cloud program, encouraging public sector cloud adoption, resulting in the G-Cloud framework which has since transacted more than £16bn in cloud related business. I was a founding member of the UK’s most successful cloud hosting company, UKCloud, and was its commercial director for over a decade. I was a member of the European Commission’s Expert Group on Cloud Computing Contracts and the CISPE Code of Conduct for data protection Task Force. I was the elected vice chair of techUK’s Central Government Council, was on the Open Cloud for Research Environments Expert Advisory Board and am on the Cyber Intelligence Institute’s Cloud Advisory Board. I also have extensive experience in commercial and strategic communications roles within the technology industry. I am a NED to Yellow Submarine AI and senior advisor and spokesperson for the Open Cloud Coalition, which advocates for a fair and open cloud market. I am in regular conversations with EU and UK policy makers, including No 10, discussing major cloud regulation issues
